Hey guys! So that’s a Pygmy sperm whale. They have an ink defense mechanism that is similar to squids when they get frightened or threatened. This whale was stuck in shallow waters because they are fairly small, and it panicked and released that brown ink. It’s not actually being attacked by anything, and you can see it swim away at the end

To anyone wondering what this is.
This is a dwarf sperm whale also known as the pygmy whale.
These creatures have an ink sacs like many octopuses and squids to protect themselves and release brown-red fluid when they feel threatened. This one was panicking because it was in shallow waters, making it practically blind because its sonar-type organ cant pick up anything, that's why many whales tend to strand on beaches too.
Anyways it got blind and freaked out.

Вы все ошибаетесь это карликовый кашалот, у них есть мешочек с чернилами как у осминогов и некоторых моллюсков, которые они выпускают при опасности или просто от стресса, испуга итд. На этом видео кашалот заплыл на мель что для него конечно огромный стресс, поэтому и брызгает чернилами пока не окажется снова на комфортной глубине. Лучше бы помогли ему отплыть, чем снимать его панику.

To anyone who is confused or wondering whats happening, this is a Dwarf sperm whale, known as the pygmy sperm whale. They have this ink defense mechanism thats highly similar to squids when they get threatened or frightened. In the video due to the sperm whale being so small it was stuck in the shallow waters, so it felt frightened which caused the ink to release, the ink looks like blood, but trust me it's not. The ink is also very bitter to predators who try to attack it. The whale was also practically blind because the sonar organ couldn't pick up anything while panicking in the shallow waters. No animals were harmed here. The sperm whale casually swam away after. So the conclusion is that the sperm whale just panicked, and was stuck for a breif moment, but it was okay afterwards. Dont worry.
