I love cardio for stress relief. I lift for sure but my mind loves cardio.

Biggest cardio benefit is, doing everything without as much effort. Waking up from bed, walking, lifting things, everything becomes effortless.

She’s not saying you won’t lose weight, she’s just saying it’s not the most efficient way and that weight lifting is! She goes on walks and gets her steps in, she’s super smart and has done a ton of research on metabolism and how it works! I personally think she’s correct!

I was only doing weights and stuff and went on a strenuous, mostly uphill hike with my friend, and I was shocked at how out of breath I was and could barely keep up. Since then I've been doing cardio again and love how it makes me feel. It's about health not just weight

I love cardio. I’ve been a runner/cardio addict for over a decade and I am still the same size and weight as I was in high school. The thing she gets hung up about is you’re in a calorie deficit— that’s why your metabolism slows down. I eat whatever I want, and I’m never restricting my calories. It’s almost impossible. You do a lot of cardio, you’re always hungry. Unless you are starving yourself, your metabolism will be fine!

Edit: I do agree with her that weightlifting is better for fat loss than cardio. But cardio is good for the brain, and shouldn’t be avoided.

I started doing 10, 000-15, 000 steps a day and when I stopped my metabolism was permanently increased and it is actually what got me out of a plateau

Cardio is definatley good for fat loss long term. And it makes excerising more fun. Don't listen to people who tell you that this and that is good, bad, better, worse, just do what you find fun. The fat will fall off because you will keep it up because you LOVE it. And cardio does not just mean tredmill or eliptical etc, go for a lovely walk, a jog, do a half an hour dance workout (my favourite). Do it often, do it as much as you want and then eat healthy, but also eat the food you like. Have fun loosing weight and it will happen.

I am a personal trainer and I'd have to disagree. Cardio has so many benifits and though strength training is beneficial for metabolism and fat loss, cardio should be included as it helps prevent diseases and so much more. A mix of both is the best way to go

So, I love running. I eventually want to run a marathon. I’m totally not even close to doing that. But for me personally, I do lose weight running. Everyone is different. I get looks when I say I love to run, and people call me crazy. But cardio is not necessary for fat loss. Good, informative video.

I'm close to 50 years old. Upping my steps to 10, 000 a day helped me beat my insomnia and sleep like a 23 year old. It's worth it just for that.

My go to cardio is following 80s aerobics videos! It's fun and it doesn't feel like working out

As a former collegiate cross country runner, I just want to say that if you're running above 6 miles a day it's very hard not to lose weight, even if you believe you are eating extra to make up for it. I lost weight no matter what I ate when I was running 7-9 miles every day.

From my personal experience, you nailed it. Been running 6 miles for months losing weight but then one day the weight loss stopped. This happened twice to me. Great video.

I thought cardio was an exercise needed to lose weight and then learned that it was what my body was craving. I became pretty active, low intensity cardio. I enjoy cardio. I do it every single day. I love it. It helps me relax and encourage me to try different sports.

From the day I started doing cardio, doing activities that used to tire me out in 10 mins is much effortless now. Cardio is my one and only love.

Love Cardio! Love going for my 10k run outdoors twice a week. Am not sure why people make general comments as "the majority of people hate cardio" when its not true, just cause they don't like it.

I've been told for the longest time as a petite woman. That's weights was my best bet. But I've been doing weights for a few months now. I still weigh the same and my metabolism hasn't changed. I have gained muscle and I look better because if some of the muscle I have gained. However I just recently started to jog/run on the treadmill 2-3 times a week for 25-30 mins and withing the first week of doing so. I have never felt better. Cardio is more enjoyable for me personally.
