My family has been to Massachusetts twice and it’s a great place to visit and we have family there which is it a plus.

Don't forget T.F. Green airport in Rhode Island as well as Manchester airport in Manchester, New Hampshire. As a Bostonian born and raised, do not drive in and around the city unless you are a very experienced driver and have some knowledge of the city; it's very complicated for out-of-towners. You don't need a car; Boston is a walkable city and you can get around on the T. I will suggest to dine out at some of the more upscale restaurants in town. We've got a lot of new, really nice dining establishments in the South end of Boston, Boston Common, the Seaport district--don't just eat at the cheap places. Enjoy! You'll find my hometown of Boston is a very clean and beautiful city--Massachusetts is very pretty in general.
