I love that stronger enemies in Mistlands are encouraging us to use tactical strategies to take them down, I started getting bored with plains cause you can defeat everything with sword, shield, parry combo. Whereas in Mistlands you greatly benefit from using different weapons and strategies. Great tips btw! Going to start using ooze bombs more, been sleeping on those haha.

This mistlands update has been kicking my ass! The first dverger cave I entered had a 2 star seeker soldier at the entrance! This video was super helpful. Thanks for the tips.

In Mistlands it’s just to simply take things slow and don’t be cocky! Just take it all slow so that you don’t end up in situations where you get overwhelmed and die. Then have to spend the next 1 hour plus trying to retrieve your body and gear which just could of help averted by just taking your time.

Excellent guide, Nick, thanks.

Different tactics & techniques and a variety of weapons definitely come into their own in the Mistlands. Useful throughout the game, OFC, but you've shown how they can really become a life-saver here.

I think that careful use of one's inventory combined with map marking is useful, too. Hunt around, note down locations, then come back with a specific plan in mind to raid mines, loot Dvergrs, mine for materials, etc. and carry what you are most likely to need.

Mistlands has made me think more about the game and everything at my disposal. Made the game even better by forcing me as a player to THINK about what I'm doing and why. :)

Thanks again.

The only skill that makes a big difference is the bow one. Less stamina and faster draw (and faster draw also means less stamina, by proxy). With 20 bow skill Gjalls are much worse to fight!

Completeted the game twice before The Mistlands came out, currently doing a solo playthrough and I've just reached The Plains. This looks savage as fuck!!

Man, I respect your combat skill. I have trouble with swapping 1-8 for gears. They should let us map those on specific keys.

Another really good tip before entering the dungeon, build a campfire inside the entrance just before entering it, to reset your rested buff can't stress this enough how much this buff helps, yes you lose 20 seconds doing it, so it may not be worth in speedruns, but for casual players will save a lot of time and increases your survival rate.
Additional tip, you can manipulate the AI if you are in a sticky situation inside the dung, run twords the exit hope on the stair, the AI will have some difficulty finding a path to you so you can use long range to kill them one by one in peace, they might push themselves to you if there is a lot of them or if they have enough space to do the flight atk, but just block it, there is only room for one enemy, and use atgir or other weapon that can push them back.
Btw this also works in other dungeons except the caves in the mountains.

you can place fireplaces in dungeons to increase regeneration speed and get the rest bonus. you can also use them to burn enemies.

in mistlands, use root armor chestplate since it protects u against piercing dmg and even ticks are basically useless against you. Also frostner is great weapon cause it deals heavy frost damage and can even be used in the ashlands, I could also highly recommend serpent shield cause seekers deal piercing dmg. if you just use bonemass ability before the fight you are basically immune

#1 BEST ML guide I have seen so far! I doubt there will be a better one, esp not on time for the general launch. You have mad skills Nick, really love your vids and very much appreciate guides that showcase your knowledge to help those of us that don't have your speed-run-level dexterity. There's hope I may make it through the mistlands yet, thanks to you! (Question: Would you consider Frostner vs. Black Metal Sword? If so, when? I had lvl 70 skills, but I died so much in ML that I'm closer to 50s - except that I never trained swords) That dagger leap strat was epic, really enjoyed this video!

If this is the average playstyle how people dealt with seekers but most likely without meads before the mass nerf of everything, yeah i can see why they thought it was difficult, this was just painful to watch.

this is cool I've only ever used the ooze bombs during raids before, my standard home is a tower with trench around it with a setup that funneled enimies toward a single area so it is nice to see that there are other uses for them. Just wish there were other elemental bombs as well, seems like frost bombs made with frost glands instead of the poison would be interesting and its not like they don't have freeze damage already in the game cause the player takes it with no cape or potion in the mountains.
