Thanks for watching Everyone! Regular uploads on this channel won't start until November - but I was just so excited to share this first video!

I am constantly finding new reasons to be in awe of this man because of how smart he is.

With his filming style and the way he narrates, I could watch him talk about literally anything tbh

"Welcome friends"
Good to see you again. Your skill as a story teller and cinematography will make this enjoyable and informative.

I know nothing about planes mechanically speaking, but 20K CAD seems like a frickin steal.

Never thought I'd watch an airplane channel, but it is Glenn so I am in.

glen you should have a cushion or something made out of that old fabric when you pull it out as a memento ;)

My first plane was a 1958 Cessna Skylane, purchased in 1962. I converted the fuselage into a ski carrier and used it to ferry myself and friends from Long Island to Vermont every weekend I could for skiing of course. In 1965, I bought the first of my seven Mooney's and used each of them for business and pleasure. I even had one of them flown to Belgium where I met up with it and then flew all over Europe for a fabulous vacation. There's nothing like flying your own plane. You'll love it.

Great find and since it has been 2 years. Let's see how it looks like now as of (January 2024) ? ;)

Save up for a STOL kit Glen!!! You’ll get off of a sandbar in no time, and the kits are usually pretty cheap. I’m sure you’ll find a AME-S willing to work for dry aged beef and beer too 😂 I went to school originally for it and can vouch that they aren’t too involved of a project, something you could enjoy learning and lending a hand on.

Also worth saying, from a couple in our 20s, my partner and I appreciate that you and Julie share so many of your journeys and hobbies on YouTube. We have a really similar set of interests (wanting a northern Canada adventure plane, keg BBQs, and all) and can’t help but look up to you guys as role models. Neither of us have anyone in our lives to look up to in that regard, so the effort of making these videos definitely doesn’t go unappreciated. Thanks for showing us it’s possible, and that it’s something to have fun working towards 😊 Cheers!

Congratulations Glen! That’s an awesome deal! I’ve been watching Glen and Friends for a few years and am grateful for the time and energy you and Julie put into your productions. I’m 67 and bought a 172G in 2017 and wish I had done it earlier. It’s a blast! Looking forward to watching your restoration journey and wishing you the best. I hope you plan to fly to Oshkosh some year in the not to distant future . Looking forward to meeting you there if so.

How exciting for you!! My father-in-law trained at the WInnipeg Flying Club in that era. I just checked his logbook(he passed away a few years ago) and it turns out that he logged many hours in your new baby. What a small world! Enjoy!!

It is astounding how many hobbies I seem to share with you. Long time fan of the cooking channel; never knew you loved flying too!

The man with RCAF and RCN hats has got to be an airplane buff; good to see!

That brought back fond memories working at Cessna, Pawnee Division in the late 70s - early 80s in the sheet metal fabrication section.

I can't imagine a more intimidating proposition than buying a private plane. Hats off to you, sir.
