Mate, don’t forget your camera in the tail…. Also, I would put another washer under the screw head in your fibreglass floor panel in your cargo extension to spread the load. Fibreglass can crack easier with concentrated force.
Loving the project.

Been hooked on this series. Having just done a very similar project with my 180. I bought the insulation in a roll, made patterns with poster board and cut them myself. I wrapped the lower panels in “leather” to add some color and to protect it from damage from cargo and kids. Now I’m cutting the floor mat the same way.

9:30 Lesson learned: never go into the tailcone of Glen's plane with the promise of some amontillado

Fantastic progress. I really like your planned layout. The Aircraft is going to serve your utility needs.

I worked at an auto assembly plant early in my career. It's always fun to see all the components of a vehicle, whether it's a car or a plane. Thanks for allowing us to follow along, Glen.

I was hoping to see a saw horse or something under the tail when you were installing the extended baggage update. I half expected to see you down in the tail cone as you tested the aft c of g and fulcrum as the nose wheel came off the ground! Glad it didn't seem to have happened!
Love following along on this refit! Can't wait to see it flying!

I think these sparsely uploads make these videos extra special because you want to see more uploads but you have to wait every two weeks for them 😂

My late father and I had a 63 P172D. The 'carpet' was down to patches. I recall getting a big piece of vinyl at Canadian Tire and cutting-out the gaps for the seat tracks etc. Watching this video brought back a lot of memories. It is interesting that you can order all of this stuff pre-cut, so there is definitely a market for this type of DIY project.

Fascinating stuff. Most people have no clue how much effort it takes to make a great looking plane! Thanks for sharing!

I think every Canadian has a 2010 Olympic Hood y like that, mine has less paint on it of course. Great series so far :)

I am hooked Glen, loving this series. Love your conservative way with airframe-related changes, this is really going to be the "top dog" in the air. Proud to see you realize your dreams. As a fellow Canuck, I cannot express how valuable it is to see someone challenge themselves and push their limits BUT also know when to fold and allow a professional to come on the case.
