Thanks for watching Everyone! Looks like I've got some work ahead of me before we get this thing flying - nothing big, but right now getting some parts has a long lead time.

Please don't shy away from long videos on this channel (at least from my perspective) ... this was a fascinating video, and awesome to see the inspection process in such detail.

There is nothing more interesting to me than watching a competent craftsperson exercising their knowledge/skillset. What a fascinating insight into aviation maintenance. Huge kudos to your inspector for his patience and willingness to talk you (and us!) through the process. He needs his own channel! This was completely engrossing - thanks for the great long edit.

Glen, as a retired engineer, I found the video absolutely fascinating. I’ve watched twice already. Thanks for the content and keep up the good work!

It’s a pleasure to watch a professional at work. He’s an A&P mechanic that I certainly would trust to inspect and work on a plane of mine too.

An hour of in depth aircraft goodness. Love hearing Chris talk about this stuff.

Great video. I'm also so happy your mechanic was happy to have you record and he took the time to talk things through.

As a pilot and a budding home cook I’ve watched your cooking videos for a few years. I love that you have moved into aviation content and love the long video! Keep it up Glen! As someone that is looking in the future to buy a share this is super useful!

This is the kind of inspector we all need, competent, efficient and willing to share his knowledge.

Man, I'm really excited about this channel.... I don't necessarily even care about planes, I'll just watch Glen do anything 😎

PS. The GoPro looks fine to me 😁

What with the big mirror, the light and the brisk, professional manner, I feel like I've been to the dentist!

You never want to lose this A&P...specially if he's an IA. He is very knowledgeable and I say this after watching this only 15 or so minutes...beleive me I know...!

Pitot heat is necessary to reduce the possibility of icing. Temp and dewpoint aloft. Especially in Canada. I would get it wired.

It's amazing that you could buy a decent, flyable 172 for $20, 000 CAD, when the price of a new 172 is $460, 000 CAD. Well done! I never saw an AME doing a Cessna inspection before. There is a lot to inspect, but it is reassuring that the inspection is thorough.
