Yea you definitely hear a difference but as a beginners mic it's quite good

"I hEaR nO dIfFerEnCe" if you have a decent pair of headphones the $30 mic has a lot of static/white noise but the $300 does not

I can definitely hear the difference. It’s all about the amount of white noise. Maybe not when you record the voice, but when you record the quite sounds.

On The cheap one you can hear ALOT of white noise but for a beginners mic I personally think it’s amazing and I’m going to be getting a similar one to start streaming

Yep I can hear the difference. I can tell the sE X1 is way better than the Neewer NW-7000.. It all depends of what you do with your microphone ! But for my professional use I recommand the X1.

I definitely hear my bank account crying on the $300 microphone

I heard a definite difference. The Neewer mic has no bass and sounds more tinny and less "deep" compared to the SE Electronics.

The $30 Neewer sounds thin, shrill, and sibilant and has a lot more self-noise compared to the other mic.
Right now, the SE X1 S mic and shock mount goes for $200.
Thanks for the demonstration.

The expensive one has a ‘smile’ but the cheap one is good enough, the expensive one is ok if you want to sound like a late night talk radio host,

the difference is huge and the SE mic on it's own is like 200 though you'd probably want to spend another 50 on an interface and 20$ for a cheap or 60$ for a much higher quality boomarm

In a past life I did this for a living...sound. We used AKG mics for most in house applications...vocals...etc. For our conference room interviews we used a tube powered Neumann. I got to play around with EV mics, Astatic, Sennheisers....practically every low to high end mic that was made. The Neumann was, at the time, a $6000.00 mic. It never, ever left the studio. In fact, when it wasn't being used I locked it up. For remotes...news stories, interviews...there was only one mic to use...an EV 635. I swear you could drive nails with it and it would still work. To my ears...and given the limitations of sending audio over the internet...and my little crapola laptop speakers...the $300 mic sounds a bit better...fuller...than the $30 one. times better? Nope. I can buy ten of the cheap mics to one of the expensive mics. The difference in sound between the two is mice nuts.

I've been rolling with a NW-700 for about a year now. I have it going through a focusrite scarlett solo G3 and it sounds pretty dang good with some EQ it just casts a lot of white noise for my liking.

As a music composer I would neither use both microphones but $300 for a vocal microphone it's crisp but lacks detail there's no punch it's dull, the $30 ones are horrible there's literally no bass, the highs are all over the place and some mids but here's a neat trick if you pass it through some plugins and use a high pass filter and add some bass that would have no difference, it's all down to the skill, that being said use an audio technica mic and you're good to go

Will the 30 dollar one work good for recording music. I already have a pc for editing tracks. Just need better quality. Im using a gaming headset rn

tbh, with some eq the 30$ one could sound great! its amazing how cheap is it to get a first mic this days!

I have a Macbook. It doesn't have the normal USB port. Do I need another part to get it to work with it?

The $300 one sounds much more crisp and pleasing to the ear, while the $30 is fine, but there is a lot of subtle static, and the audio quality is just lower overall

We thank you just as much 😌 I was searching for mics for our setup which seems a bit challenging 😐 especially for the two of us which are newbies when it comes to podcasting and we just started with ZOOM :
Basically we ( me and my wife ) need to hold online classes thru’ ZOOM at the same time in the same space ( a living room) and we’re just a few feet from each other ... 🤦🏻‍♂️ so we can’t pick on each other’s voice. She is positioned almost opposite of my desk 🤔
Are there any mics that can allow us to have our classes in this way ?

P.S : we’re also planning to start a two ppl podcasting Youtube channel with interviews, debates, discussions and sorts 🙂

Thank you once again for your time and work! 😊
