Hi All,
Thank you for clicking onto this video! Today we unpack what 'bad habits' really mean, and how 'shadow distractions' can be turned into conscious and healthy activities.
Conor McMillen, IFS trained life coach, explains how parts of you may turn to distractions either as a way finding relaxation or by way of dealing with overwhelm to the system.
Using the concept of Self and Parts from IFS, this video encourages you to look at how you can consciously harness your 'bad habits' into health giving activities to meet your needs.

I have this protector part that tries to numb my pain with food or junky foods to shut the more vulnerable part that is hurting. When I am stress eating I literally feel like there are two parts of me fighting one pushing the food down my throat and the one feeling nauseous and hating the food! Thank you for the work that you do!❤

Love this channel btw! so inspiring. I can not afford a $300 therapist at the moment. or even $200 or whatever it coats. Unfortunately it is expensive here and nobody I have looked up seems to know anything about this modality where I am living (outside of the US) but I love IFS so much. I think it totally instinctively makes so much sense.I have been trying to to practise it for about a year now and finding this brilliant channel so helpful. Thank you for all that you do!
