Got an electrical engineering job offer as a comp engineer major, hardware engineering interviews are usually easier than pure software jobs these days in most cases due to software being very saturated

In my computer science degree, we’re required to learn how computers work (computer architecture, digital logic design, etc.) in order to write good software (creating operating systems, designing programming languages, etc.)

My FPGA lab VHDL based is indeed one of the most rewarding lab courses I've taken in my Computer Engineering degree. Hardware is king :) ( at least for me)

Do a video explaining more about electromechanical engineering and computer science, If it is possible to do study them all

Can you please do an in-depth video on this topic because I’m going into my senior year of my Highschool and I find this very intriguing

I very much agree, this is why I switched! There was just not enough theory on how computers actually work as compared to computer engineering, which is awesome!

Considering the government decided to bring chip factories back to America (basically a computer chip war), makes sense that hardware jobs are about to become more and important if the US computer market wants to keep competitive.

Well, from my experience with a bachelors in CS, you get to learn nothing in either major, because college is a scam. At least in CS, you dont have to deal with the 90 year old engineering professors that are constantly struggling to learn the program theyre trying to teach you to use any time they're not having a stroke😁

even computer science learn how computer works and Computer architecture, digital logic design, Machine language, compiler, Physics 2 (Electric Circuits)..etc, The difference between them that computer engineer focus heavily on the hardware and electronics, processor design with very low capabilities in the software and programing side, while computer science is specialized in programming from machine language to the end user from (A-Z). and because the hardware sector have extremely limited job opportunities specially in developing countries, most computer engineers end up taking courses in programing fields, In order to find a job in this field

You learn about hardware in computer science as well

This is very inaccurate. Computer Science has nothing with teaching you how to program. It has to do with solving computational problems and solving algorithmic and automation problems in general (also understanding computation both in nature and on artifical systems). It is a field that was born out of mathematics and its intersection with electrical engineering is only due to the fact that the only computing machines that we have and can control currently are electical/digital in nature (from the perspective of CS, these aren't the only computers in existence as biological systems can be thought of as being a computer and also the universe as whole if you subscribe to the digital universe theory and/or any of the works of stephen wolfram). Also, computer engineering has different scope than CS. The programming you do in CpE is mostly lower level in the software stack, interfacing with the hardware. This is my opinion and view on this as someone who has two bachelor degrees: one in applied math and another that is a double major in CpE+CS.

so coding is done in computer science .. or CS also involves others stuff .???

In my country you can't study computer engineering alone. You have to study electrical computer engineering

Would you rather know 50% about 2 topics or 100% about one topic

Hey man, I just have a question. I want to take EE, but I also want to keep software as an open door for the money. The problem is that I love electromagnetic physics, tinkering with arduinos, etc. Will I still get to learn the same level of Calculus and Physics in Computer Engineering as taught in EE? Also, can a computer engineer also pursue jobs in avionics and biomedical engineering like EE majors? Thanks, and keep up the great work! 👍
