That's why I love succulents. All plants have a way to let you know they need water, but succulents tend to be a little dramatic about it. And tend to let you know when you're over water as well. Didn't take me too long to pick up on that signal as well 😅 (in my defense, I wasn't aware that my roommates were also watering my baby too)

I watered my little cactus the other day, puffed up real nice with water and made a mental note to *leave* it till it’s used up all the water it’s stored. Yesterday I see my other plants looking a little dry and pick them all up to mass water in the tub including the cactus. Only when I’d drowned them all did I look down and realise I’d watered it again while already being puffy! So now I’m praying 🙏🏻 Praying for no rot and no symptoms of anything else brought on by over watering 😅

THANK YOU FOR THIS!!! My succulents have been wilting and I didn’t know why! I was worried I drowned them… the lady at the store told me to water once a week so I’ve been careful not to “overwater”. Well I just dumped water all over them after watching this!!! You’ve saved my bebes!

How to tell when a dormant succulent needs water, coz its really a challenge, even if the soil dries up watering it causes the leaves to get mushy (despite a well draining soil).
