I've said it before and will continue to say it again and again that Joel Osteen is a motivational speaker at best. He is not a preacher. He makes people feel good about themselves and that's why his church is huge. People love to feel good.

I listened to Osteen for a while. Eventually I started to see that all his messages were the same.

I am from Texas and never cared for Joel. He seemed creepy to me. Constantly having this creepy smile no matter the situation (even when it's inappropriate). I remember in February of this year (2024) when there was a shooting in his church (a 7-year-old was rushed to the hospital and critically injured and another church parishioner, a woman was murdered), the press of course rushed to the church to talk with Joel Osteen. With police on the scene, and people still coming out of the church, Joel spoke with the press and was *GRINNING* from ear to ear. I can't tell you the number of Texans that was outraged at his response, and lack of soul in the face of this horrific event. I personally don't think he can be trusted.

I use to want desperately to talk to his congregation and tell them how wrong he is. Then I finally realized he is telling them exactly what they want to hear. They don’t want the truth they want what makes them feel good.

I saw an interview with Joel and Opra, and she asked him if Jesus was the only way to heaven, and asked isn't there other ways, and he said to her, yes, there is other ways, I saw this interview, for sure, I knew he was a false teacher. My husband almost got sucked into his sermon, because he sounds so good and hopeful, I had to tell my husband we do not watch this, because, he is not reading from the bible. He is like the bible said in the end times, he is tickling the peoples ears, telling them what they want to hear, shame on him.

His father, John Osteen was a powerful Pentecostal preacher...and his mother, Dodie Osteen is a wonderful woman of God. Joel jumped into the "Senior Pastor" position of Lakewood Church because he saw how the "prosperity/motivational gospel" would draw huge crowds and make him a ton of money...not because he wanted to honor his father's legacy. He is NOT a true minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
