My reasons for starting to become more minimalist involve having an easier time cleaning the house and keeping things tidy. This gives me more time to do things I enjoy. I also am doing it for my son. Everything I keep is possibly something he will have to deal with later (I am in my fifties so that will hopefully be way down the road 🙂). Also minimizing my belongings is hopefully helping him to curate his belongings a bit better later in his life too.

I love what you are saying. But I wonder if you could turn the volume of the music down while you are speaking. The music is pleasant but makes my brain hurt when I am trying to concentrate. This episode is better than your past ones, though. I’m looking forward to learning more from your ideas. Thanks!

Yes, focusing on what we Love & Need are keys often don't acknowledge.

8:08 I think this is why when I want to do another round of decluttering, I go back to look at my closet. Because I’ve made the most progress on it so looking at it makes me feel good and motivated but I want to think of an even better way to “celebrate”....

I don't really have any significant reasons to be a minimalist, in fact it's probably done out of whim. it triggered me when I study abroad where we have to move out in different houses every 9 months. so you can imagine how tiring & hassle it is. I thought i have a decent amount of things. not until you packed them up 😂 since then I learn from time to time how to reduce it and only keep what's essential. whenever I came back to my home country, I did a huge declutter in my bedroom. I had an epiphany as to why did I keep all these items... I'm a sentimental person maybe that's why. it's hard to let go but you know what, we have to move forward, we can't live in the past forever. I still am sentimental but more conscious of what I keep. I'm still learning to make a conscious purchase and choice, it has been 4 years now. it's defo a long term journey :)

I've watched some of your videos now and really like them. But the music is alaways a bit too loud for me, fighting with your voice for the attention of the viewer. Maybe turning it down a bit in future videos could be better? It's wonderful music tho :) Best wishes!

Any recommendations for letting go of old beautiful yet sentimental Christmas and Birthday greeting cards? I also have a few letters from my mother who is now deceased. Somehow, I just can't seem to discard.

I'm afraid, my dear, that the music on this video is way too loud. The purpose of the video is the information you are sharing, not the music, and the music is taking over.
