The hardest thing I found about being a minimalist is trying to get people to stop buying me things to fill up my apartment and food pantry!

100% agreed. My life has become so much better since I’ve transition to minimalist and I no longer buy anything unless is daily items that I need.

I've been a minimalist my entire life. The most important aspects are to Do What YOU Love and Do NOT compare yourself to others. Any kind of label you put into your life becomes an invisible box that people like to keep you in. I see people throw stuff away just to turn around and purchase it again because they believed that their house had to look like Steve Jobs pic of him, sitting in a room on the floor with just a lamp, and nothing more. This is exactly why I didn't post my lifestyle because there are a lot of people who don't understand that it's more than just about stuff. Minimalism is not a Movement it's a Lifestyle.

The more you settle into your own form of minimalism the more you are able to see what is cluttering your own life. Sometimes this can be a surprise because you have become so accustomed to the way you have always lived you don’t see mental and physical clutter for some time.
Good video ❤

I think it is better to start minimalism now. Because it is no longer hyped and restricted by people that misunderstood what it is. Minimalism is about making your life fit you. Not about how many items you have or never to buy or add anything to your life again.

Well, Seve, you are right; it's never too late, but I wish I had known these things as a teenager. They would have SIGNIFICANTLY changed my life journey. I am glad Joshua and Ryan have tried teaching this in some high schools.
To be honest, it can start even in elementary schools, and kids and parents(!) would benefit from that greatly!

Hi Seve - I always look forward to your videos! Today was my first day at my new job! Pre-Minimalist Tara would have gone out and bought so many "pretty" things for my new NEW Tara will now pull a few things from my own home and not buy a single thing (because I don't need anything). This is big for me! I don't NEED to fill my new office with a bunch of things. I have in mind to bring one picture, one plant, and one little saying block for the office - that's it! It feels so good and freeing! Thanks for all that you continue to teach us!!

I’m just starting my journey, so I really appreciated this video! You really help me understand and have made me think of my why. The part where you said it’s not about aesthetic, but lifestyle… That was something I needed to hear!!

Great insights ✨️
And yes, it is a journey, internal and external, as you said 🙏
Define your WHY, and Experiences over Consumables, are also important.

I have been a minimalist since basically forever, never grew attached to owning items
I just feel most comfortable by making sure my "basis" requires as little thinking/work as possible

Helps a lot with reducing stress build up over time

Hei! Minulla on paljon huonekasveja.

Awesome video Seve, even me as a non-minimalist. Probably going to start Project 333 soon!
