Minimalism ironically made me stop keeping off season clothing in storage because there was enough space in my wardrobe to keep everything organized. I just love always being able to see the entirety of my clothing at all times. It's always interesting to see how different each person's journey to minimalism looks. :)

I’m going add a gem of advice that I read on the ‘But First Coffee’ channel and it is “Don’t Put It Down, Put It Away” simple and brilliant

I'm a new subscriber, I really like your channel! However, I have to laugh to myself about putting out of season clothes away. I live in Ireland and we can get all seasons in one day! It can be sweater weather in August!

We have become so proud of our ability to “multitask”. We don’t realize what a detriment to our brain this is. I wish I could say in work interviews that “actually, no I don’t multitask because it’s not healthy”…😵‍💫

I grew up with very few clothes so as a teenager I didn't have the option of wearing lots of different things. But what I did have was nice. Now I'm trying to get back to that kind of minimalism. Less, but better. No point in wearing ugly clothes. Less is better.

I rarely get up from one room and move to another without picking something up and putting it in its rightful place; whether it’s a coffee cup, or tissues for the bin, etc. This small thing goes a long way to keeping your home clutter free.

Thanks for these tips! I understand the benefits of storage seasonal clothing elsewhere, but I have downsized my wardrobe so much, that I no longer need to do that. I have all my clothing in one place and it all fits! In the past, I had so much clothes and would store seasonal items...but then I'd get halfway through the season and realize that I had clothing wasting away in a tote in the attic.

I bet you hear this a lot but it must be said your dog is precious!

I like the idea of looking at what you want to keep, rather than what you want to get rid of!

I love the tip about laying out the wardrobe you love and ditching the rest, rather than trying to decide what you don’t like. I’ll put that to use!

Wore a strict uniform throughout school career. No makeup, hair longer than collar needed to be tied back, nails short with no polish. Sometimes miss the simplicity of those years….did not enjoy it as much at the time though, as it was enforced, not by choice

Temptation bundling. I also listen to podcasts Only when I am decluttering/cleaning! I started this years ago and it totally makes me want to accomplish more!

First time I've seen one of your videos and I loved this one. The Task Switching piece was such a revelation for me - I do that all the time and get really anxious and dis-regulated as a result. Great advice!

loved your idea of looking at decluttering as what do i want to keep vs what do I want to give away.. makes so much sense.. Thank you!

Ha! I’m here packing for a trip (which I hate doing) and cleaning while listening to you. Your that podcast. Thanks for the help!

I do my wardrobe in 4 seasons and it's so fun shopping from my own stuff every 3 months. I also wear so many more things now that I have so much less out. All the joy x

Having worked in a restaurants for a long time, the saying "don't go the kitchen empty-handed" comes to mind. Don't walk by a table or stop at a table without picking up something that is used/dirty. I still do this, as you do, when moving about my house. No aimlessly going from story to story without picking up that stuff that needs to be put away. It really is an almost effortless way to keep your space tidy. And, by the way, I love and appreciate your videos and insight. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Your are always very helpful.
