Gimme the 50s it's absolutely magnificent!

I tested both in the store for a few days and went with the 50s. The 60s has a super fast slim neck which is great for solos and leads but it’s not nearly as comfortable to hold as the 50’s especially for ripping power chords for long periods of time. The 50s neck is still plenty fast and was just as effective but the 60s felt more natural for shredding. But the 50s feels more like a Les Paul in my hands whereas the 60s gave me the vibes of my strat with the slimmer neck

Had a 60’s unburst…sadly had to sell…funding needed..but it was a great Les Paul…Gibson got it right..no cheese holes better voicing pickups…the whole feel…was right…😊Ps 60’s slimmer neck I loved…and reflector knobs

I like parts of both the sound and parts of the 50s the paint finish and Slimmer neck of the 60s that would be my perfect gibson

I want one with 57 classics and NO coil splitting. Cant find a desert burst or tobacco burst or lemon burst with the classics and NO splitting. Wish they made one

I watched a guy run 6 guitar strings in the space between two workbenches, putting a bridge on one side and tuning keys on the other. Played it like a guitar, through an amplifier. Sounded amazing. It’s all about the electronics and the hardware.

Both are great imo. I personally prefer the slightly fatter neck on the 50s. I like the look of the tuners better as well. I’m on the market for a new LP and just can’t decide between a 50s tobacco burst and a slash November burst.

I'd like the neck of the 60s because i have stumpy fingers but the sound of the 50s ... I have les paul modern I'm happy with it

whats the thought process on picking up a standard versus a custom shop? does it really have a 2k+ value over the standard or is it just to "make it hard to obtain" such a guitar
