So basically, Roze of the Recapture in a nutshell is an Immortal Aunt and Uncle giving their niece supernatural power

People calling Lelouch LL or L2 don’t realize that the whole point in the original show, shows him becoming L2 or R2. In Japanese there is no “L” pronouncing, instead there is conversion of “R” in the Japanese language especially when romanized. Just like the name of the show “Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R1 & R2” season 2 being where he is R2 after taking Charles’s Code. Just like V2 and C2.

Basically in Japanese LL = RR. And in the Japanese version C2 and V2 are written as C.C. And V.V. So R2 = RR.

Lot of people think he died at the end but there are many key hints indicating that he was still alive. Lot of people don’t know but there was a premiere of the show early on Japan TV where Lelouch is shown to be alive at the ending of the season with C2. That is somewhere on YouTube and you can still find it. It was eventually taken down and asked about and confirmed later through the entire writing team that the ending was edited to be left up to the audience whether or not lelouch lived.

Even if someone combats that, there are still other hints. And how would Lelouch still have Geass if he’s a code user?

Lelouch shares his memories with Nunally like C2 did with suzaku. Only code users can do that alongside being immortal. Which he took from Charles after his Geass was strong enough to be in both eyes.

If that isn’t enough. The driver at the end of the show before the ending is shown to also have the same “tie” or “ascot” around his neck as Lelouch. Lelouch being alive is canon imo.

There are a ton of other hints in the show that would make this believable as well. Such as in some of the openings. It shows Lelouch on a black horse and a lot of people comment on it being funny since he doesn’t really ever get on a horse in the show. But it’s supposed to represent him as a “Black Knight” just like the one he commands.

Another being that in Opening 5 everyone is shown to be there in it, except you don’t see suzaku in the opening at all. Instead you see a foreshadowing of the ending and Suzaku becoming Zero towards the end where it shows Charles Schinzel Lelouch and Zero. The Zero shown there is Suzaku.

The show is littered with details you have to pay attention to. One of the greatest written shows imo.

Lelouch is a side villain of this show, and will be shown later on that both Lelouch and CC are trying to capture the remnants of Charles's followers by using Sakuya and the rest of her people as pawns, like he did with the Japanese. We will also be seeing Orange later on.

Im watching the new anime now. Im so glad that lelouch is back. I been watching the whole series since it firdt aired on Toonami in 2007. Johnny Young Bosch nailed it of voicing him.👍

Well, Lelouch died only in one of two possible endings of R2. In one version, he just died. But in other he get the Charles code by killing him using Akasha's sword, and when Suzaku killed him, he become immortal. When Nunnally touched him he was affected by him same as Suzaku i Lelouch were affected by C.C. and in the end, R2 part of title would be same as L.L.

This is tied with Total Drama as my favorite tv show. I was super stoked to hear he somehow cheated death! Although that did die down a little when I learned that it was set in an alternate reality. now that they’re continuing on with that alternate reality, and not just leaving it as a fleeting, transparent what if, I feel better.🥰

Also that girl is L2s cousin I believe (I just remember that she’s related to him) which doesn’t make sense because L2 in R2 basically went all mass genocide on the Britainian family line, so she should technically be dead.. but hey idc as long as we see L2 do Lelouch things 😂

I recommend watching the three-way movie before the movie since they changed alot. I was confused when i watched the movie because Shirley was alive lmao, i thought the three-way movie was just a recap but apparently not
