Code Geass: Roze of the Recapture is a Lazy Sequel

A good sequel to the Original anime would have been either animated all the picture dramas into a coherent story of episodes and/or just making a new series that explored the aftermath of Lelouchs death and show us how Suzaku has to adjust to being zero and how Nunnally and the others move on from Lelouchs death we could explore more of the characters then we couldn't get in the original.

I don't understand why this is seen as a *disappointment*. I personally enjoy catching the nostalgia between this new series and the original series while watching it.
If this is going to be seen as a copy, why are you ignoring the fact that the original series did this several times in itself? I mean, didn't you notice that the first season and the second season started with the same events? Just remember.
And... In the Fukkatsu movie, Shamna was also a character who had a lot in common with Lelouch, her beloved brother couldn't see and couldn't walk, similar to Nunnally.
For the OZ Manga series, Orpheus and Lelouch are quite similar.
The character Rai in the "Lost Colors" game was also a copy of Lelouch, and so was the character Dash in the other manga series "Renya of Darkness".
So we can say that "Copying is a tradition for Code Geass."
The only Code Geass series that didn't do this might be the Akito the Exiled OVA, but some guys hated it because Lelouch didn't get much screen time 🤦‍♀️ Really...
I'm saying... They won't get tired of copying Lelouch and his story for the audience that can't give up on Lelouch.

Rozé is an enjoyable series for me and copying is not a problem from this perspective. The real problem is that it is short, with 12 episodes. So much off-screen scenes :(

I don't mind the world having wars after Lelouch's sacrifice, it would be too much to expect full peace, but why it has to be godamn Britannia and Japan again? Why it has to be an absolute command geass?

And yeah, as soon she uses her geass, I knew Lelouch (L.L) was involved.

It had its moments, admittedly, though I do agree there was a lot of disappointment, especially towards the end.

One thing I think we all need to keep in mind though is that it's hard to even come close to the original. Shows like NGNL have the same issue, which is why animators don't dare make a second season for that one.

But hey, at least it was alright. It could have ended up like Devil's a part timer lol

So basically they somehow recreate Zero Requiem with Sakuya aka. Lelouch and Ash aka. Suzaku only the roles are reversed.

It's Sakuya aka. Lelouch who survives with guilt of "killing" her friend and perhaps love and Ash aka. Suzaku dies in the end with guilt of leaving her behind and somewhat content of being able to avenge his brother's death by Norland von Lunebelg's hands.

Fun fact: looked up Norland's name because I didn't remember how it was spelled and found out there is an actual game on steam by the name Norland lol!!
