What does it mean when nerve pain goes from burning to just actual pain.. in both cases it comes and goes, not constant. Does that mean it may be healing?

I only have back symptoms with the slump test, I can fully stretch the low back and still having above average flexibility and extencion, but not for the very bottom L5-S1. I used to have a muscular strain which was very clear to feel and covered much more volume like almost going half of the lumbar spine. Now I only have this pinching pain almost. Feel pain with stretching in a reverse hyperextention position or at the very bottom of a leg curl that pulls the back down, but relief also when resting on a table laying my weight on the pelvis (same position but with no stretch) . sometimes flexion stretches get it better sometimes worse, and same for extending. cat cow hurts when I try to flex down. If I do some thing that aggravate the pain i can’t even get a lying on the bed neutral lumbar spine without pain.
If I do something that aggravates the pain I get a costant very light pain like 1/10, and it’s a light pulsating pain probably coordinated with heat beats.

Hi! When you described muscle pain I related to those words, but when you showed us how to do the tests i related to the leg one which is nerve. So now I am confused if I am having nerve or muscle pain?

I am having sharp stinging pain all over my body and sometimes burning it started when I started lowering the Gabapentin I was on, They were giving it to me because I was having muscle twitching and jerking and trouble sleeping then I started to get side effect about 8 months ago. It started with vision problems then weakness trouble walking and coordination and balance stiffness in my muscles and trouble moving my body . Well lowering the gabapentin and the Seroquel helped and about three weeks ago I got down to 200 mg or 100 mg of gabapentin every thing was going good no vision problems my balance got better I was walking normal then all the sudden I started having those pains all over my body it started in my chest I went to the doctor nothing wrong with my chest when I went the pains stopped then a few days after seeing the doctor it started again and this time it was more painful it was not so much in my chest anymore but in my arms legs and my stomach and my back and once in a while in my chest . I guess I am going to have to go again because it very painful I am trying to deal with it and I am hoping it will get better but I think it might be something serious .
