Guga! Try Koji rice the right way: Blend with water first (oatmeal consistency) bag with steaks in fridge for 3 days. Turns out way better!!

"The original didn't have cheese?"
"The original didn't have anything, Maumau"
Maumau temporarily forgot that this was supposed to be a poor man's burger lol.

This historic burger is one of my all-time favorites! It's fun to make too! Cheers Guga!

“Today we’ll be making the burgers that fed America during the Great Deppression, so we’ll start with some Wagyu A5 for our patties...”

I’m happy to hear you say “our country.” I know a lot of people who immigrate never feel like it’s truly their country too. I’m glad you do brother. This is your country as much as it is mine.

Guga: During the great depression the used onion to fill the burger.

Also Guga: proceeds to put double patty on the burger.

I like how the great depression had better burgers then Macdonalds in 2021...

Thank you for showing us an affordable comfort food for these trying times. I am still out of work and have been since last March, to have a wonderful recipe that is affordable and delicious is so appreciated! More, more, more please. Hugs and happy holidays Guga and family! :-)

Pro-tip for american cheese singles, it doesn't matter how cheap they are, just make sure the first ingredient on the package is milk and it will be perfectly creamy.

This is one of my favorite burgers ever! Simple is often so many times better. I would rather eat two or three of these, than a big overstuffed crazy ass burger anyday of the week!

"Do you wanna know the difference between a weak burger and a burger that has strength? A weak burger you can chew and still talk; a burger with strength you chew, _the meat just absorbs all the space and all the air possible all in your throat;_ to the point that if you wanted to start talkin, nothin but mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm, mm-mm is comin out.

*Word.* "

My mom is from Oklahoma and had never heard of the Oklahoma Onion Burger. I made one for her and it blew her mind with the complexity of the onion. She only ate burgers with just meat, cheese, and a bun before that.

Every single time that I am watching a Guga video, my mouth starts watering... Not only because of the food...But even as a straight male I have to say that this voice is dreamy
