Looks good but misses the marks that made the previous one so desirable. For a car to be "special" it has to check virtually every box, this car only does so on looks and performance. Missed the mark on value, accessibility, gear box (arguable), modability, and engine. Where the engine is not as poorly selected as the Shelby series 1 or the Plymouth Prowler, I would hope to see a v8 fitted into one before long. But would you want to chop up a 500k car? Maybe Hennessey will.

There have been a few poor reviews on this car but the majority of reviews are off the chart. The reason ford went with a V6 eco boost was for weight savings. The car has already won at Lemans .... and the OEM car top speed is 216 and 0-60 is 3.1. The lat G rating is off the chart personally I think Ford nailed it

Is there any doubt that people will pay $700, 000 for a GT? So 1) The car has already appreciated and 2) I seriously doubt you'll ever see these under $500, 000, ever. So in that sense, the new GT is EXACTLY like the last GT. I do agree that some people will reject the car because it only has a 6 cylinder. Porsche avoids this issue by putting bigger engines in their hypercars, to their credit. But no one is complaining about the 6 cylinder in the GT3 RS or 911R. In fact, the 911R launch matches up pretty well with Ford's GT launch. Very expensive. Very exclusive. Lots of people upset. Indescribably good. Instant value appreciation. Manipulation of the market. It's all very smart. I thought a long time about your complaint "the new GT isn't fun" and I think you're basically right. I'd just say it another way. The new GT is VERY serious. It's beautiful. But very very serious. Ford set out to win Le Mans. That's serious. They won. Now you can buy it. It's not a toy in any sense, it's not comfortable. It's serious.

You can't say this car "misses the mark" if you haven't driven it. Purely speculation. This video should be "My speculation why the Ford GT missed the mark, in my opinion". The only thing you can talk about is the availability, you can't even say the car cannot be modified because only a handful have been delivered so who knows what the potential tuning is. All guesswork
