I am a husband, father, and pediatric physician - needless to say, my life is busy. I have always lived an active lifestyle, frequently involved in sports and going through phases of consistent strength training, but as I am sure many of you have experienced, life can easily get in the way of personal health and fitness. I have gone through various ups and downs relating to physical injuries, general life stressors, and mental health challenges which has all had an impact on my health and fitness goals and consistency. After a couple year with a lot of life changes and very little emphasis on healthy eating and regular physical activity, I have finally "gotten back on the horse" and resumed my health and fitness journey.

A bit over a year ago I realized I had maintained my weight but lost a lot of muscle. So at age 73 I began working out in the gym. Now at 74, I have significantly more muscle than ever before in my life. Part of it is just lucky genetics. I get no credit for that. The rest is simple dedication. I eat a 99% carnivore diet (coffee is my plant). Hit the gym for an hour 5X weekly, prioritize good sleep, and maintain quality relationships. Easy peasy! And yes to your last point. No hurries.
