The Scandinavians are tired of listening to this b.s. Calling them socialists might lead to so called micro-aggression in Scandinavia ha! 🇸🇪🇳🇴🇩🇰

As a Finnish person I can't believe someone would say our country is socialist. Oh hell no it isn't.

Socialism works in two places. In heaven where they don't need it and hell where they always had it. -Ronald Reagan

Prime Minister of Denmark said they are not socialist but a market economy.
All these so-called socialist scandinavian countries operate in a market economy system.
They tried real socialism in the 80's but failed miserably.

Imagine what America could afford if someone else paid for our military.

These comparisons are like comparing someone who works 2 jobs versus someone who lives in their parents' basement.

"Scandinavia is homogenous, 98% white." 50 years ago that would've been true.

Big mistake challenging Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens with a question that pertains to a myth

"I know that some people in the US associate the Nordic model with some sort of socialism, " he said. "Therefore, I would like to make one thing clear. Denmark is far from a socialist planned economy. Denmark is a market economy."
- Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, in regards to people like Bernie Sanders calling his and similar countries Socialist.

The guy wasn't even being rude about asking his question, I don't know why they treated him so rudely.

I'm from Sweden myself, but there are some myths on both sides.

* We and our neighbours are certainly not a socialist countries, we are by definition a capitalists. That's just a retarded assumption, but that's expected since the left is very good at conjuring up fantasies in order to support their own twisted views.
* How someone can straight up compare Cuba and Venezuela to Scandinavia is beyond me.
* While we do have an insane tax rate that's significantly higher than other capitalist countries. 70% tax rate is a bit silly, but I think it's an intended over-generalisation; it's closer to 30% or 40%.
* We do fund military with tax money, although it's not much. Denmark and Norway are members of NATO and being member they need to contribute a certain amount of money (related to GDP?) to fund their own military. While I'm not an expert when it comes to NATO, I don't think Denmark or Norway are living up to that goal. When it comes to Sweden, we are not a member of NATO and US is not spending a single dollar as far as I know on our military. We do however have a strong diplomatic relationship with NATO since we participate in military excercises, trade arms and share important intelligence.
* We are sadly no longer homogeneous and we are certainly not 98% white. About 25% have background of being an immigrant.
* Sweden has 10 milion people, Norway has 5 milion and Denmark has almost 6 milion. In comparision it's 16 milion combinied, but yes, comparing it to US is still ridiculous.
* Scandinavia has no closed borders whatsoever, immigrants can come in anytime and settle.

I didn't like how Candace and Charlie had to be smart asses while the guy was asking his question. We're trying to encourage people to ask questions and open up more dialog, so best not to ridicule people when they're being respectful and polite.

We pay a lot in taxes but we do not live in a socialistic country. Neither are our neighbors, Norway, Denmark or Finland.

In this kid's defense....he didn't once say that they were socialist.

I watched this a few times and still didn't see a mistake from the "kid". He made a statement and followed it up with a question pertaining to a reply- politely and courteously. Having a point of view is not a mistake. The mistake is when faced with facts you remain steadfast. He simply asked a follow up.

I like Candance and Charlie. But this time they sounded a bit disrespectful. The boy didn't mention socialism but "social democracy". Also they didn't let him finish the question.
