5 How To Run A Generic Servlet Using Eclipse IDE

Generic Servlet:
It is the immediate subclass of the Servlet interface.
It defines a generic, protocol-independent servlet. it can be used with any protocol, say, SMTP, FTP, CGI including HTTP, etc.
GenericServlet is a superclass of HttpServlet class.
All methods are concrete except the service() method. service() method is an abstract method.
