VALUABLE TIP ! Do not put your jump start box in the space where a spare or other equipment. I did and when returning to my car after a two break the 12volt battery was dead and the boot door wouldn’t open, so I had to gain access though the seats, only thing was I’d just loaded my suitcases in the boot ! After a while I just about managed to reach the start box. So my tip is keep it close to where you can get it and have a practice so your not doing this for the first time at 4am like me ! Lesson learnt.

I just bought a Toyota Vitz Hybrid 2019 from a car dealer. It was first registered in Japan and came in Mauritius in 2022.

After I bought it from a car dealer I put started it and started tunning the radio. As it had automatic headlights, it completely drain off the battery.

I tried to jump start it the traditonal way but it would not start. I panicked and look for a lot of videos to see the right way to do it.

So….You can use a regular charger that you can use on regular gasoline engine?

If you leave it in neutral it will force idle for a while, but I think it switches off after 15 minutes or so.
