i came to this video because i seriously wanted to say thank you because this video legitimately saved my life. or atleast got me out of a really serious situation. on a motorcycle trip i got some bad information and went down a path and got extremely stuck in the middle of absolutely nowhere. it took ne over 5 hours working in the mud to get stuck. i had turned my head light off but the ignition was on and the rear light was still on adn i didnt notice. after i finally got everything back up and going again and i went to start the bike (on hour like 6) the battery eas nearly dead at 9.5v. this video came to mind and i got to work finding some wire and wiring up all the batteries i had and hooking it up to my bikes battery and after about 15 mins i had about 11.5v and to my supprise i was able to start the bike and was able to safely make it to camp. this video 100% saved my ass and i wanted to say thank you.

Did this years ago on my old beater '78 RX-7 with an 18V cordless drill battery. Out in the middle of nowhere installing a Hughs Direcway satellite system. Left the car radio on all day. And then, at 8PM, long after everyone else had left and there was not a soul for miles around, I intended to leave and got the dreaded "click click click" from the starter solenoid. Much swearing. Made up a set of quick and dirty jumpers, jammed into drill battery terminals and twisted onto car battery terminals. Waited 10 minutes, then started the car. Victory!

Thanks! I used variation of your crazy idea to jump start a car just yesterday - with 12V VRLA battery + 2xAA to boost voltage a little bit. Started the car without getting my battery out, awesome!
