How To Jump Start A Prius

This video shows you how to jump start a Toyota Prius car if the battery is low.

1. Open the hood of the Prius.
2. Remove the fuse box cover.
3. Flip up the red terminal cover and attach the red positive jumpstart cable to it.
4. Attach the black negative cable to the engine.
5. Connect the other ends of the jumper cables to a car battery.
6. Start the engine of the car and let it run for 5 minutes.
7. Get in your Prius and start the engine.
8. Disconnect the jumper cables.
9. Drive the Prius for at least 15 minutes to charge up the battery.

I don't understand the part about "letting it run" I assume this refers to the car one is using to jump the battery. When I've used a portable battery jump starter on the Prius battery under the back floorboard, that only takes a second and the car starts. Is using the devise under the hood different from that? Thanks I'm doing this today.
