🤓One of my favorite things to do is dig deeper into popular financial headlines. Here's an inside baseball look at how I think about this stuff!

I recently did a similar deep dive into a popular headline about "90% of millionaires being self-made" and—guess what?—the original, oft-cited "study" that purportedly discovered the statistic was nowhere to be found. It didn't seem to exist.
The best I could track down was some loose self-report survey data, which...well, I can think of a few reasons why someone would stretch the truth about the extent to which they're "self-made," you know?

Anyway, check out this week's show for the full deep dive wherever you get your podcasts.

As asians, we never really understood the western pressure to move out at a certain age. It’s completely normal and acceptable in our community, plus it saves us money from not renting. We contribute to our households and share as well in the chores. What’s so bad about it. And it’s such a weak argument to say that we don’t experience growth in our homes, it’s your choice to grow wherever you are.

Us Arabs were always confused by your culture and how in the west the parents literally want their children gone by 18. I’m 26 and want to move out, my parents are literally depressed by me even thinking of that.

One of my friends whose 25 just found a job after three yrs of not being able to find a shred of anything in our small rural town.... Got his first paycheck recently and there was only 250$ on it... He wants to ask for a raise however Im not sure if it'll be given or if a raise would even make a difference for a wage that small... Of course most young adults still live at home cuz 250$ n change ain't never gonna cover the cost of rent, utilities, medical insurance, car notes, or groceries.

How about people 29-39+ who are still living at home? More than you think!

Homes don’t cost 13k like they used to. We don’t have boomer era benefits. If your blk, they never had that.
