Funny enough, when Ivan goes ma and when he talks to the devil himself later on in the book, it's Alyosha who comes to save him at a very last moment, as the devil had almost completely cracked into Ivan's mind and took over.

I think he missed up the attributes of the pawn brooker to that of Raskolnikov's Land Lady.

I think JP needs to reread C&P. It's the pawn broker that Raskolnikov hates, not the landlady

I'm sorry but the music is so loud...what Dr Peterson is saying is more important and you make it difficult to follow the idea because the sound and the images you've added to his presence and his voice are unnecesary and distracting😢

The problem is, as it seems, the balance. You can't create something new and grow, if you can't destroy the things/living creatures, that just don't work.

Raskolnikow did not kill his Landlady. He kills his Pawnbroker and her Sister. Read the book on your own, it ist worth it.

Dostoevsky's writings are more powerful than any book of religion. I understood that not only is it important to believe in God, it is essential, because "without God, all is permissible."
