Cut in spring and summer, bulk in fall and winter feels the most natural for beginners as far as eating patterns go. I also like the idea of shorter and more intense workouts in the winter (low reps, high weight) and will do intense cardio outdoors in the nicer months of the year.

This is gonna sound so dramatic but I almost started crying during the part where you said gaining fat is normal in a bulk. I’m bulking and have been for MONTHS and feel like all I’m seeing is fat rather than muscle. I felt like I was doing everything wrong and I’m crazy but you just reassured me I’m not :) thank you so much!

On another note.. your journey to grow a booty whilst graduating from law school inspired me to go back to school and finish so I can go to med school. I quit just shy of my BA and had kids but you genuinely make me feel like anything is possible with hard work and dedication and I appreciate you more than I can ever adequately articulate 💕💕💕

I’ve been bulking since the beginning of sept and I’ve been seeing results but also hate that I’ve lost definition in my abs/back 😭😭 but it’s a process!! Bring on summer shred season 🤙🏻💪🏼

I'm definitely feel a little bit jiggly around the butt and thighs but my upper body is so so lean! (These are my genetics). Just excited to cut and praying for the booty gainz to look good <3

I found this video as I am in the middle of gaining so much weight with both fat and muscle and it’s so comforting knowing it’s not just me gaining everywhere, especially in my stomach. I love your approach to this too

Great video. As far as cutting I tend to disagree on the slow caloric deficit. After someone loses a bunch of weight its best slowly increase calories so that you dont gain a bunch of weight and keep your body stable. Well the same is true for cutting. If you slowly decrease calories your body gets used to low calorie intake and fat loss becomes next to impossible. What I recommend is a relatively drastic caloric deficit for 6 days then 1-2 cheat days to regulate metabolism. Calorie cycling has always been the easiest way for me to cut.

MY GAWD! Thank you. While Iv'e been bulking not ONE person has told me that I would feel what you described a bit jiggly, fluffy, swollen, and it is discouraging!!! You put things in perspective...this made me feel so much better. Thank you for saying this as I am thinking something is WRONG with me. It sounds like it is part of the process.
