Russell M. Nelson claims to speak for God as Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Is it therefore too much to ask for consistent messaging and standards?

Precisely what I was thinking as I listened to the first statement he made: “lazy learners”, and “lax disciples” is the first thing that came to mind in response to his “pithy barbs” pithy barb. Lol.

The only people the biblical Jesus aimed such pithy barbs at, were the self-proclaimed, righteously indignant, leaders of the mosaic Hebrew church of his time and place, for their self-proclaimed righteousness and indignation, and their mis-leadership taking their followers away from truly freeing and uplifting spirituality. Ironic.

If he was a man of God he would not be speaking about non-believers in this way. Patience, compassion and love would be his message if he spoke the words of Jesus.

Russell M Nelson is an imperfect man who divides and chides those who he supposedly leads in this "church', and those who have had enough and choose to leave.

Watching the corporate church leaders communicate with the everyday people, makes me feel like I am watching someone who thinks that they are seeing someone else but are really seeing themselves and they're own bigotry reflected back in the way talk about others.

I thankfully was given a booklet ...unmasking mormonism by Selwyn Stevens..after being beguiled in that cult for over 3 decades as a new believer ..my daughter and I had nervous breakdowns my son went on a mission loved it .. interestingly when his wife from came with him to our country and attended our branch she started to get panic attacks My children hardly pray or teach their children these days Hubby and I have been to many churches over the last 7 yrs because we love to worship our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ xxx

Of course he has, he's made a religious career out of it. The entire church upper echelon, all the way down to the newest baptized member belittle anyone with critical thinking skills.
