Ginger does not come from the same plant as turmeric and cardamom. It comes from the same family (Zingiberaceae). Quite a significant difference.

I just heard that ginger helps keep blood pressure down so thats why I'm on it now. Plus I notice it helps diminish my garlic breath. I've also been eating raw garlic daily too, now that stuff is hard to choke down for real but its health benefits are also way to hard to pass down.

I put a little dab of ground ginger in my rum raisins and eat about a hand full a day of them. Or I try to when I remember to eat them. This is what I do for pain.
