He didn’t want to get rid of Confession, but he started the whole deformation thing, so he’s ultimately to blame. He’s led millions to hell.

Luther had the affliction called scrupulosity. Any little thing, sinful or not, would set him off. Confession once a week or every 2 weeks is considered very frequent. Worse, Luther had classic issues with his father’s approval as well as monastic discipline. He didn’t have the right emotional balance, yet he’s seen as the revolutionary of theology of divine forgiveness and justification.

If only he confessed his plan of rebellion against the church, there probably no protestantism nowadays. He would have a changed of heart.
