a lot of brassicas do this, i found it useful to sort of use them as a canopy sometimes for succession planting

I have a hypothesis that this is why they make the best soup ingredients. They stay crunchy, but they also have a lot of surface area so they carry more broth to your mouth.

You should grow kaliscopic kale and sea kale. I’ve successfully gaint sea kale cole wort seeds and I was lucky to find a nursery where I could but 12 sea kale plants and I’m growing some gaint sea kale seedlings my Michigan tree collards died but I’m still excited for the sea kale.
