In this video, we’re going to talk about the problems with eating kale.

There are a lot of really amazing benefits of kale, such as:

• It has potential anti-cancer effects
• It has potential anti-estrogenic effects
• It can help clean up the liver
• It’s loaded with nutrients

But, there can also be a few problems with eating kale for some people.

1. It can deplete iodine (sea kelp may help counter this issue)
2. It can have too much fiber (try other vegetables) *if you’re bloated because of too much fiber, it can be difficult to lose weight.

I've been eating kale for a week (So far). It's very delicious and it doesn't upset my stomach when I cook it or juice it.

Dr. Berg by far is the most thorough, easy to understand medical and keto expert on the net. His presentations are short enough and easy enough to take notes on. I am benefiting from his videos so much ! He has over 2, 000 on YouTube. I have been recommending him to my friends and loved ones. He's a NATIONAL TREASURE.

I find removing the stalks, then squeezing some lemon juice, few drops of Olive oil, and a tiny sprinkling of salt, then gently massaging fresh kale before eating makes it much easier to digest...it takes seconds to steam. Perfect!

Spring mix with baby spinach and a few kale leaves...Top with MCT oil, pink salt, grated cheese, red wine vinegar and a bit of your favorite dressing. Maybe add some grilled shrimp? Bacon? ...or grilled chicken?

I've started using my juicer again recently in order to get more potassium whilst avoiding too much fibre. A combination of cucumber, celery or kale, lemon and a little ginger makes a quite pleasant start to the day (but not every day!).

WHAT IN GOD'S NAME SHOULD I EAT TO BE HEALTHY? Eliminated all the conventional meat and dairy, replaced them with organic staff. Eliminated all the grains and sugar, replaced them with green leafy vegetables. I have been chewing spinach and in one of your videos you said it contains oxalate, which causes kidney stones. Fine, switched over to Kale and now this video ...
I have been struggling with acne for many years and I know only one thing that does not cause the break outs - WATER. Don't take me wrong, I don't mind drinking water but you know ... I need some food as well. I am 22 years of age, don't drink alcohol, don't smoke, swim, practice judo, workout. I AM A HUMAN BEING FOR GOD'S SAKE AND I WANT TO EAT LIKE ONE AND STAY HEALTHY.

Every time I consume kale I notice my head is clear. I like it.

Yep, I am one of the 20% who can't digest kale. I was on a kale kick last summer and made a juice of kale, carrot, ganny smith apple, fennel and ginger. Well after 4 days of stomach indigestion I learned my lesson. No kale for me. I learned that kale is in the cruciferous family which I can't digest any of them as well. I take a probiotic but nothing was going to digest that kale.
I make my green shake with organic powdered wheatgrass juice. I use spinach in my quiche recipe and in salads, but No kale!

Kale actually helped relieve my constipation tremendously. I cook it fresh with half a teaspoon of olive oil, hymalyan sea salt and pepper. Just fry it for a 3-4 mins so it keeps its crunch and its lovely

Great information Dr Berg! This happened to me, added loads of kale to a smoothie and two hours later I was so bloated. I’m going back to spinach, I might try adding kale gradually because of the great benefits! thank you 😊

Kale used to just be the garnish we'd decorate the buffet with back in the day...
