Today I had an appointment and my doctor is an Exmo. He’s the first person I’ve ever been able to verbally discuss my religion crisis. Despite not being a mental health specialist It was freeing to be able to get it out and feel validated and seen. My therapist is Mormon and so I don’t even feel like I can talk about that with her and I can’t switch because my mom has already met her and I’ve been in her care for years now.

My grandparents and my parents would NOT take my non belief nicely and I might be kicked out. Not a good situation.

We got to discuss the blackmail and existential dread that’s accompanied with wanting to leave. He talked about how he was blackmailed and his experience.

I want no part of this cult anymore.

Even with miracle lighting a trip within one of these submarines would be a nightmare the gasses produced by human and animal waste would be sufacating and people living in smi-ventalated close quarters would be spreading diseases right and left by the time submarines reached the new world, I don't think anyone would be left alive.

Both my parents are ex Mormons, and a lot of ym family still is. My dad became Christian and realized the small bits of truth that mormonisim twisted. As a Christian myself its disgusting to see how Mormons twisted my religion into a cult.

I always knew Mormons were a bit odd, but this is just brilliant. Reminds me how the main point of the "Nigerian prince scam" wasn't the initial money, it was more to separate out people with common sense from those that would pretty much fall for anything so you could keep getting more and more money from them.
