I’m an LDS and a recovering alcoholic. This man gives me the inspiration I need to stay sober one day at a time.

I was raised in the church. Served a mission. Got married in the temple and have got two little boys. After almost 10 years of marriage and about two years ago I was left by my wife. I've been through the most difficult time of my life and I really thought I wouldn't be able to survive this. It still very hard, but I made a decision to trust in God like never before and watch him mend my broken life and make me happy again. I trust the lord and beg his help. I write this as tears stream down my cheeks as I feel my Savior's love for me through this remarkable and amazing apostle. This talk came to me as an immediate and direct answer to prayer. I am very poor in spirit because there is so much turmoil and unrest in the world right now as we face a global pandemic and rioting and looting in many cities across the United States. I am so grateful for the guiding light in this darkening world from godly men such as Elder Holland. His words affirmed to me that there is indeed a God in heaven who looks over his children and attempts to their individual needs. Our Savior Jesus Christ truly does know how to succor us.
