New York bagels are so good. Nothing like what you buy at a store.

I absolutely love the sheer joy on Alessio's face when he discovers a new food. You two are such an enjoyable couple to watch!

I have always loved how passionate Italians are about food! They have definitely understood that food is one of lifes joys. And such a beautiful couple you are- inside and out. I wish you get your little one soon <3

Alessio is so expressive! When he loves something it's a religious experience.

For dim sum you need to get the "classics" such as crystal shrimp dumpling or beef rice roll or siu mai. For cheesecake you need to go to Junior's in Brooklyn. NYC is such a foodie town. It's great!

Now that's some awesome food! The bagel with the lox and stuff is classic. Pastrami on rye was one of my dad's favorites. I'm in Chicago and the best memory with my folks was waking up early on Sunday morning and going with them to the butcher, bakery and deli on Devon Ave. What a special time that was. Loved the video, 😊

Around the corner from Katz Deli is the Tenement museum. Must do!

For cheesecake, try Juniors or Carnegie Delis. Either can be bought online. Carnegie is my fave - simple and unique. Juniors is from Brooklyn and has a gazillion different types.

As a NYer, you guys were spot on with your assessment.
1) A NYC bagel with lox and cream cheese is an absolutely transformative experience.
2) Katz's pastrami is a splurge but worth the price
3) Places like Nom Wah are overpriced hype (you're really just paying for the ambience of the street and feeling like you're on a movie set).
4) You were also right on with Magnolia's pudding - good, but totally overpriced.
5) Same with the cheesecake being overpriced and way too small!
6) dollar pizza is hit or miss but that one looked pretty bad.
7) As for Halal, that's hit or miss too, but every one ALWAYS has the red sauce that's unbearably hot! Everyone's made that mistake once of thinking it might be like regular hot sauce but just a single drop will ruin your whole meal.

Great video, you've got yourself a new subscriber and fan!

I never heard anyone say they "hated" bagels, but I'm from New York City and we LOVE them here!

Wow... I'm only halfway through the video but I'm amazed that Alessio went from hating bagels to wanting to go back to the bagel, lol. New York bagels for the win! 😂🙌

Edit: Just finished watching the whole video and I'm so glad Alessio actually went back to get more bagels. Just missing the pigeons! 😂

Next time try The Burger Joint (it made Anthony Bourdain's list!), Gray's Papaya, Levain Bakery, and also Hop Kee on Mott Street

2:33 "New York, I want to do tumaywah" - Alessio 2022. NYC is the land of many cultures. It is estimated that around 800 languages are spoken in the city, so NYC is bound to have something for everyone. And when in doubt, have a pickle. Not eating a pickle is a crime against society

Alessio really showed his inner French purist with this one by being appalled by something that's croissant-like that isn't in the shape of a croissant.

There are way better dim sum dishes than the ones tried! Siu mai, ha gow, soup dumplings, black sesame rolls, char siu bao (steamed or baked), tofu hua, steamed pork ribs, beef short ribs...and for adventurous palates there are delicious tripe dishes. For fried dishes, ham sui gok and taro dumpling. There's so many!

I love my NY bagels not toasted but a NY bialy lightly toasted with cream cheese, oh my goodness!
Alessio is a natural in front of the camera 😊
And really brave to stir up NY's rats with wings while he's eating!!
