In today's quick video, I show you how to turn off shorts on YouTube as well as how to disable YouTube shorts. YouTube shorts is a new feature that is great but can be very addicting. I do not know if you are like me, but I find myself spending too much time on shorts on YouTube. Currently, there is no settings in the YouTube App to disable or turn off the shorts section. However, I have found a method to removing the shorts section from your YouTube feed which makes the short section disappear even if you refresh your feed or close and reopen the YouTube App.

I realize now that my life before YouTube shorts was much more productive, it used to be you select a video that’s actually thorough and gives actual information, but now these shorts are more time consuming, less productive, and don’t even have detailed information because of how short they are

Shorts are the worst content ever. I recently deleted all my social medias(Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat etc) to avoid this kind of content and now YouTube is forcing this down my throat. Thanks for the tutorial but I already knew this. Hopefully YouTube give us a disable feature soon.

This is what I’ve been doing, thank you for confirming there is nothing else I can do. 😢 They go away temporarily, but then they do come back after a while. I have submitted multiple requests to YouTube asking them to make disabling shorts a feature.
