Since a car is a depreciating asset that is destined for the junkyard, I pay as little as possible. I do not buy new cars or take loans and the value of the car is less then 10% of my annual income.

I'm with Ramsey. I recently got a 2023 Tundra. Paid via bank wire. But the daily driver is still my 2012 Sonata Hybrid. Aside from being able to keep a car for a year and selling it for break even / small loss, everything she said is on point. As a private party, you'll be hard pressed to get retail. But, it's a great plan

20% sounds crazy. I’m sure I did when i was younger but we’re at about 10% to hhi for 2 cars which is quite comfortable.

Perhaps a simpler way to go is to calculate the surplus in your accounts each month and then go shopping for whatever car fits this amount minus insurance and a little cushion for emergencies. Personally, I'm just gonna keep my old Toyota pickup until the wheels fall off or the market gets a lot less crazy.

I've narrowed it down to either a Canyonero or a Thundercougarfalconbird

US is such a blessing after 4 or 5 years used car market will be half like 10, 000 or 12, 000. In my country with 55, 000km 2018, 1.8liter Toyota Corrolla for used car market it still cost around 80, 000. Assume it is 1USD=1. That does not include insurance and roadtax that need to be paid.
Cheapest car that we can buy is around 43, 000, with 1.0 or 1.3liter engine, Natural aspirated. Oh I forgot the shortest loan that can be paid is 60 month and up to 108 month. It depend to the loaner. If choose 60 month payment then the monthly installment will be much higher. Mostly will choose 108 month payment. For 10, 000 with cash example Toyota maybe can only buy 2004, Toyota vios 1.5liter, guest how much mileage on it.

Love the presentation and consistency. Just try to vary the content more. A channel about only cars and financing could run out of content fast. Here for the ride

I don't need Aubrey to tell me I have more car than I can afford lol. I have a new wrx and nissan Z. But i can sell the Z at the end of the summer with minimal loss if any.

I love your content Aubrey but the recent lighting or lack thereof is very distracting 😢

Terrible advice. You take about being responsible by taking a car payment? When you have to finance you risk.

Paying cash on depreciating assets is the smart way to drive. Financing is for people who want to impress people they don’t know.
