Retaliation for someone who might go to the police station and file a complaint. This is not about officer pride, this is about control and the need to have that control over everyone.

Says a lot that it took this story going viral before the department pretended to do anything at all about this unlawful arrest. I grew up in Texas, and I must say that something is definitely wrong the people hiring law enforcement. No way I would interact with one without my phone recording the entire time. Their egos dictate what happens far more than the actual law.

I saw the whole video, and there was no reason for the cop to act like that. You are allowed to voice your opinion without retaliatory action escalating like this. After he said he wasn’t going to write him a ticket, it should have been over. This is a great example of why people don’t like the cops.
