I had them all. I just can't stand the backlight bleed or glow or anything of the sort. I ended up with VA, you can't beat the black levels. Also, when i open up a completely black image, it's like the monitor is shut off. No bleeding, no glowing. I love it. Can't complain about the response time and color accuracy either.

I think we need an updated version of this subject, seems like IPS and VA are making some good progress in their drawbacks.

VA cause I appreciate the black levels, especially when I watch movies on my monitor

It's worth noting that IPS and VA have roughly the same absolute response times, but because of VA's much better contrast it takes longer to switch from black to grey (0% to 20% is the only transition they're slower than IPS in). This can be countered in games where you need absolute speed by reducing the contrast down to IPS levels which most VA's have an FPS preset for. Having tried all three panel types, VA in my opinion looks the best and I competitively game on mine as well. I think IPS is only suited for professional content creators and TN for pro gamers who need the absolute fastest response.

Prefer VA. No glow. Viewing angles still fine and the blacks kill IPS, especially for video. The thing is NOT to get TN. Its either VA or IPS for choice. OLED is the holy grail - if it ever fixes the burn in issue

Thorough yet succinct. Brilliantly conceived and delivered. I use all three types: IPS for creative tasks and gaming (because I like the pretty scenery), VA for non color-critical productivity and sometimes gaming, and TN for administrative stuff.
