as someone who switched from 240hz IPS monitor a 240hz OLED monitor I can say with full confidence that I will NEVER get rid of this monitor. I’d never replace it for higher Hz, higher res, nothing. Its perfect.

IPS will give less blur around fast moving small objects, better viewing angle, and better response measures.

I had a VA, the ghosting on the thing was insane even tho reviews said response times were good, wouldn't ever risk buying another one

VA also has much better contrast, black doesn't look grey. They mainly suffer from ghosting at higher hz but some of them don't. I got a 240hz one and was pleasantly surprised by the color accuracy, contrast and input delay with virtually no ghosting.

I have had both VA and TN panels. I love the contrast ratios of VA, and I love the color accuracy/vibrancy and response times of IPS. I'm currently running an Asus ROG XG27WCS, which is a VA monitor. Haven't had any ghosting issues, and the HDR is impressive considering its just HDR400.

I bought a 42inch LG C2 for my main display during the 2022 black Friday sales. By far the best thing about my rig now, all the OLED goodness and 120hz to boot.

VA panels have a lot of inconsisten gtg response times, sometimes is fast, sometimes a blurry mess depending if the background is white, gray or black, ips is just better if you want color accuracy, tn is for them sweaty players who want less than 1ms of gtg response times without having to buy an oled.

I’ve been using a 240hz QD OLED ultrawide from MSI and it’s been game changing. The colours are the best I’ve ever seen and the motion clarity is amazing.

I remember that in the 2000s, PCs and laptops came with glossy monitors. I really like glossy monitors, but they are hard to find today. Most of them have that matte finish.
