Side Lunges Demonstration

Показать описание
Side lunges are a dynamic warm up for runners that can be performed without any additional equipment. Assume a wide stance and bend the right knee, keeping the left leg straight. Return to wide stance, and repeat the motion on the other side. Stand up straight and bring the left foot to meet the right. Using the right foot, step into a wide stance and repeat the sequence across the room. Then return, leading with the left foot. Watch as our physical therapist demonstrates the sequence.

Besides the lunge she is also stepping to the side. So there are 2 actions. It was quite hard to follow…till breaking it down.
It would have been good if she showed the complete cycle. (here she showed 1 and half of the cycle).
No other video showed it this way [ie lunge side to side then step ]. This gives a good flow and adds a level of interest.

Is it okay for her knee to break the plane of her toes? I get mixing advice on this.
