It is not the same to alternate than to do it one leg first and then the other. First, you can't keep you foot in the air if alternating; second, you won't fatigue the muscles of the of the leg better, since you're doing one rep, and after that you change the leg *but* the other leg is resting and preparing for the next rep; so when you do first one leg you tear it down harder.

To the trainer: Any comments on the effect of the angle of the foot when doing this exercise? I'm interested in reducing stress on the knee and teaching the body to naturally balance load between the knees and hips when landing and when cutting laterally in sports like basketball and football.

Good effort, sit back more into the pocket so you knee doesnt travel so far over foot (avoiding any patellar strain). Force the knee out, giving you more torque and glute activation, who doesnt want nice round glutes? Props for promoting lateral work.

Is this true that this exercise will help my knock knees ?? answer pleaseeee :)) if yes, give me some more exercise to correct my legs .. I really wanted to straight my legs w/o any surgery :(

There are a lot of people/fit people who look as some of you have described as "boxy" but remember everyone has a specific body shape too. For instance my body shape is an hourglass whereas some are pears, or as this woman seems to be is just very straight without much curve.
