Smaller pay raise proposed for Atlanta police officers

The Atlanta Police Union President predicts there could be an exodus of officers if the city signs off on a proposed two percent pay raise.

If I was them I would quit. Let the social workers protect and serve. The money they made isn’t worth dying or going to prison for. All these comments about they don’t deserve it, well you go out and stick your life on the line for someone you don’t know. Then when the lead starts flying your way see what you think then. Or go and rescue strangers from a domestic disturbance, or a burning car or building. Easy to armchair. Different when your in the thick of it

Police unions are always the first ones to cry foul and whine to the public whenever the city council or anyone tbh propose any reduction of the police department in any way as if the police department has done any good for the public except use up the whole city budget while at the same time saying, "we need more police officers".

Police need the power of Judge and Executioner, that would save the Taxpayers Billions not having to support the violent menaces to society in prisons.
