Omg!! Congratulations, yall! Your family is now complete and it's the fabulous 4 ❤. I'm beyond thrilled and excited to hear how everything is. Don't rush anything, though. The transition is definitely crazy with each addition. I've got 4 and each time, we hug the littlest one.

Mom/dad tip:
What helped us after baby boy came home, is daddy would take our (then 2 ½ years old and now she's almost 4) to the neighborhood playground, alone. For me, it would give baby and I some time to nap. I would spend alone time with her any time dad would have the baby. Even "just" snuggle time together with her. This helped the transition much more smooth. She also helps us with her baby brother. Getting a diaper, helping change him, she even helped bottle feed him (with assistance and supervision obviously).

One last thing. When she wants to hold baby, we would let her. We would change, feed, and then she'd have her time with him. I think it helped her bond with him. We have a king size bed, so we sat her in the middle next to us, closer to the headboard, and put a pillow on her lap.

I’ll never forget after my second baby being home for 1 day and my first born who is a boy also ran to go get me a diaper for his sister and i started crying so hard. It was such a surreal moment! It’s no longer just him and he was so willing to help! I feel you Mindy!!!!

When you mentioned holding your first baby tight before going to have your new baby, I started bawling. I am going in for my c-section on Friday and my emotions are wild right now! 😭
