45 Min STRONG Shoulder Workout with Dumbbells | EPIC II - Day 19

Strong shoulders session! This workout will make your entire shoulders work hard to push through! Focusing on strengthening of the shoulders will build muscle and increase shape to the upper body with dedication and consistency! It’s all up to you to train shoulders with control, focus and safety.

Please take it slow! Stop when you need to! The timer is just a guide!

All you will need for this workout is a pair of dumbbells! The dumbbells I am using throughout are 8kg each!

The timer will be on for 40 seconds of work, 20 seconds rest. The complexes will all be for 2 1/2 minutes each and 30 seconds rest after before moving to next exercise.

The complex will be the following:

5 x Shoulder press
5 x lateral raises each side
5 x partial lateral raises

The complex within this workout is basically a combination of exercises for you to do for reps AT YOUR OWN PACE! It is not meant that you need to follow me... in fact you may carry out the movements slightly faster than me, with less pausing or take more breaks than me. It will be on the screen the movements and reps for you to do so simply work through at your own pace!

Okay, real talk:

I’m having a morning. Anxiety through the roof, feeling vulnerable, family problems, friendship problems, guy problems (*puke*); you name it, I’m over thinking every little thing. I started this work out, got about 10 minutes in. I’m still new to my heavier weights and it was making it super difficult so I got really frustrated with myself. All the sudden I just started bawling 😭. For some reason my emotions got the better of me. I had to pause and just have myself a good cry. I never cry. But man apparently I needed it. I let the dust settle and got right back into it and finished this epic work out. I balanced my weights from heavy to lighter, because I’m just trying to listen to my body but also push myself. This journey has been pretty cathartic. It’s not always smiles and rainbows. You connect with some deep parts about yourself and I’m allowing those feelings to happen because I never used to. I’m normally hurrying them. But fitness is really changing it up for me. It’s keeping me going. Caroline, thank you! From the bottom of this icy heart that’s starting to thaw out finally. 🥲

Holy moly my shoulders are still burning Connection Pointe my legs and calves are so killing me from the leg workout I'm sure my shoulders will be killing me even more tomorrow. So so happy today is an active rest day, will do something but will not be lifting a weight that is for sure, LOL! Caroline, I have to say this week these workouts have been intense but I'm loving every minute of it! I could not wait to do the body weight version of working my shoulders while doing the pike push-ups I thought I was going to fall on my Noggin and then oh and then doing the shoulder tap in Pike push-up position OMG I felt everything in my shoulders are burning but it was oh so good! Congratulations for those that have finished and I'm sure you're burning still today! Good luck to those who have not done it yet it is a real burner for the shoulder but you will love every minute of it. 💯💯🌈🌈💪🏻💪🏻👊🏻👊🏻💟💟🙏🏻🙏🏻

Shoulder day is always the best! I’m so excited to try this (but my shoulders are not very excited). And the format looks very fun! Ps the pyramid leg workout was also super good, I love how Caroline is so creative with the workouts! This program seems too good to be free, yet here we have it!

My three year old loves CGs effort in her colour coordinated workouts.Every morning she checks, flowers, countdown, outfit.Thinks it's the best!I do too.Then she picks up her pink 1.5 kg dumbells and sweats it out.so cute.Thanks .Caroline, good habits can never start too early!💚

Jesus Christ, what a banger. Went with 5kg Dumbells and was dying after the first complex but somehow I managed to push through. It's incredible what your body can do if you trick your mind sometimes. Thank you again for this wonderful challenge, I'm feeling more proud of me everyday :)

Thank you Caroline for yet another great workout. Sadly it will be my last for a while as I go into hospital tomorrow for an operation on my leg that will take me out for weeks if not months. However, at least I go knowing I am as strong as I can be thanks to following your EPIC programme and other classes and I will have the rest of EPIC II and more to look forward to on my recovery journey. Congratulations on all you have achieved and proud to have been (and hopefully still be able to be) part of the Caroline Girvan community xxx
