Hate the term "skinny fat" but here we are 😂

step one: 7:05 - do an audit of your nutrition
step two: 10:00 - eat enough/more protein
step three: 13:00 - lift weights
step four: 15:20 - utilize progressive overload
step five: 16:50 - eat more food + increase non exercise energy expenditure (increase daily steps etc..)
step six: 17:33 - change your mindset ! changing body composition takes time + there is no quick fix

Yes! This is me. Skinny fat. 5'2 weight fluctuates from 105-120. Trying to gain more muscle and lose the fat. I'm skinny still wear size small but in a bathing suit I'm flabby. It's embarrassing when people think I'm a stick then bam. About 30% body fat or so.

This is very personal but I am writing this in case someone is going to something similar I am. I'm 5 ft 1, 110 lbs and brainwashed. I have been eating below 1200 calories for a decade, running 4 times a week, doing yoga the rest. I am skinny fat and have been trying to lose stubborn fat for ages. I struggle with my period but I never gave it that much attention, by gyno told me that it's because I was taking the pill (which I stopped taking 4 years ago..). I finally went to an endocrinologist, thinking I have PCOS or insulin resistance which could cause irregular menstrual cycles. Turns out it's the opposite, my body simply doesn't have the energy to release eggs. I was told that I need to eat more and work out less. I am so scared to eat more calories and gain weight, but my health should come first. Thank you for making this video encouraging petite women to eat enough, focus on muscle growth instead. It's so hard to overcome the obsessive calorie deficit mindset, but we have to.

I’m crying now that I have an answer and a solution. I could feel myself going down a dangerous restricted path- but you just taught me I’m legit doing everything wrong. Thank you. Excited for this journey!

That was me!! I was 114 lbs, 5’3 and all mush and cellulite and ate 1, 200 calories a day😬 Always fatigued and weak. I have been weight training for almost 2 years, eat 1800-2000 calories a day, dress size 2 petite or XS and I weigh 137 pounds!!! My legs and arms have never been more toned 💪🏼🏋🏻‍♀️ The number on the scale is irrelevant!! I have friends 2 sizes bigger than me that way significantly less than I do. And I get to enjoy my food while they won’t touch a carb 😏

Nice to hear it actually exists! When I talk to people saying I need to lose weight I have so much fat on my body there are like don’t be silly there’s nothing on you . I don’t look that I have but with no clothes on you can see it- sloppy, soft and unfit .

I feel like this video was recommended to me at the perfect time in my life. Quarantine&uni hit me really hard and with the summer approaching i got really conscious about my body. This video not only gave me hope and warned me not to just restrict myself further, but also cleared up the fog of all the fitness information online and gave me a direction to a healthy weight to get healthier.

I'm so glad you mentioned it's hard for women to lose belly, arm, and thigh fat bc those are the areas i dislike the most. im glad i found this video, other fitness channels tend to be condescending but i feel very seen right now

I've been bodybuilding for 6 years and this is the healthiest way i've ever heard someone explain it, so congrats on getting that info out there to every girl who needs it :)

I’m glad you make posts targeted towards petite women, because health and nutrition is actually different for us, I also love how you include women at 5”4 as petite because that’s my height and we aren’t considered tall, but alot of people don’t consider us short as well and I have always viewed myself as petite so it feels good to be recognized lol

THANK YOU! I am 5 ft nothing and every single diet tells me to eat less than 1200 calories a day. And it's nearly impossible to eat that low and actually feel good.

This is completely me! I am 5’5 and started my journey at 111lbs and 34% body fat. Right now I’m at 115lbs and 26% body fat and still working to get even better results. Weight training and eating right makes all the difference!

I’m not necessarily a petite women (I’m 5’6), however I am skinny-fat. I want to feel stronger and look stronger because I’m tired of letting my chronic pain make me feel weak! So I’m excited to take some of your advice and work on myself :D thank you! 💞

I am the opposite of petite, super tall: over 6 ft, but I have the same problem! People always told me I was a stick but now I’ve kind of grown up a bit and I’m still thin and tall, just feel kind of flabby. This is super helpful.
