I wish I could find the mountains again. My husband and I live in NH and we love to hike the White Mountains. We hiked 32 of the 48 4, 000 footers last year. This year I can’t even go for walks with him on the trail near our home. It exacerbates my MCAS symptoms too much and aggravates the asthma that I was just diagnosed with last year which I know is a direct result of MCAS. Never had asthma my entire life. The inhailer I’m on barely touches it! After getting Covid 2 years ago all my symptoms blew up and really tanked my life. Also found out through a Naturopath last year that I have chronic Lyme disease also. I am on a waiting list to have what’s called magnetic Lyme therapy that a friend recommended. I am also on the GAPS diet to heal and seal my leaky gut. I will now implement ways to improve my adrenal glands. I had some childhood trauma and definitely believe that has contributed to my adulthood stress.
Thank you Dr for these videos on leaky gut and MCAS. I sincerely appreciate you as your the only Dr that I have come across who connects the two! ❤

May I ask, is there a possibility for a chemical engineer to go into functional medicine?
